Nessa Quill is the proprietor of the Bent Nail Inn and one of the best-known residents of Briar Hollow.
She keeps the inn running with a practiced mixture of hospitality, sharp observation, and quiet authority. Nessa can welcome a weary traveler, settle an argument, remember an unpaid tab, and notice someone behaving strangely without ever appearing rushed.
Most people who enter the Bent Nail eventually find themselves speaking with her.
Appearance
Nessa is a middle-aged woman with dark, gray-streaked hair usually pinned away from her face.
She dresses in practical clothing suited to long days behind the bar and around the inn. A heavy ring of keys hangs from her belt, giving her access to guest rooms, storage areas, and nearly every locked door in the building.
