A Seam is a place where reality becomes unusually thin, contradictory, or responsive to memory and expectation.
Scholars disagree on whether Seams are wounds, natural boundaries, unfinished joins, or traces left by previous versions of the world.
Dormant Seams
A dormant Seam may produce only minor effects such as repeated dreams, misplaced sounds, local stories that never agree, or a persistent feeling that something is slightly wrong.
Active Seams
When a Seam opens or fails, it may create a Breach.
