Definition
A Witness is a person who retains memory of a place, person, event, or history after surrounding reality has changed.
A Witness may remember:
- A building that apparently never existed.
- A person removed from every written record.
- Two versions of the same day.
- A road that once led somewhere else.
- The original name of a misnamed thing.
Reliability
Witness memory can still be affected by fear, trauma, ordinary forgetting, and magical interference. It should be compared with physical evidence and other testimony.
